The children of Pragathi School
took the audience on an amazing journey of freedom struggle in India right from
the singular powerful protest by the Tiger of Mysore till the ‘Tryst with
Destiny’ at the stroke of midnight on 15th August 1947 through a magnificent
and well-organised cultural show on 15th August, 2012, the 66th
anniversary of independence day in India.
All the powerful protests against
British colonialism right from Tipu Sultan upto Quit India movement came alive
on the stage, ending with the prayer for true freedom “Into that heaven of Freedom my father let my country awake”.
They
didn’t stop there; they asserted that although India is free from a foreign
rule, it needs to be free from dead habits of corruption, environmental and
social irresponsibility.
They made a united pledge to make the world a better
place - not just as Indians but as fearless global citizens of the earth
committed to truth and justice.
We will
be the change we want to see!
