Team Pragathi Pays Tribute to Mother Teresa

“Happiness is not so much in having as sharing.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
Norman MacEwan (1881-1953);Senior Commander, Royal Air Force

The Joy Of Giving Fortnight’ from 21/08/12 to 05/09/12 to commemorate the life of Mother Teresa who was born on 27th August, 1910 and died on 5th September, 1997.

During this fortnight (14 days period) children are encouraged to bring old clothes , old toys, old story books (which are in good condition for someone else to use) to hand over to the less fortunate at various orphanages, old-age homes and for the destitute.

Also a brief chronology of notable events in Mother Teresa's life, a series of memorable photos of her life and work through a Photo Essay, excerpts of her interviews and some of her quotes will be presented during the Zero Hour.

Visits to orphanages, old-age homes and near-by slums are in the pipeline to personally handover the stock to the needy.

Student volunteers along with a committee of teachers and parents has been set-up to collect and sort out the goods. Parents and children are instructed to hand over the stuff according to the below given slots to the respective class teachers who in turn will hand over the same to the Incharges concerned.

are the moments when you have cared for others."
